As Mary Hopkins would sing “Those Were The Days” my friend, this represents a Chic “Good Times” Dre Dre & Snoop “Next Episode” of the Soul Network book of chapters. Let’s just say this is Viv’s Ocean’s 13 meets A Team squad about 3-4 years back, “Posin’ ” Till Closin’ ” like Heatwave In Bristol for one of the early mansion parties. It was always gonna be a Mission not so Impossible with us a a crew and unlike the TV series this photograph will not self destruct in 10 seconds..”Happy Days” like The Fonz

Fitzroy Facey dubbed as a true “Soul Survivor” with over three decades of DJ, remixing, production, compiling, song-writing, journalism, radio, and media presenting experience. Fitzroy “The Original Soul Survivor” Facey carved himself a niche working with live acts. It began at the Mean Fiddler’s Jazz Café in 1991, where Fitzroy Facey supported an eclectic “who’s who” list of world famous musicians from 1970s to the 2000s. Fitzroy Facey’s talents have spread across many sectors of the entertainment and media industries including the 2000 MOBO Awards After Party. Hosting several guest radio shows on specialist Solar, Kiss FM, GLR, and Choice FM. His musical contribution was credited in the 1998 BBC1 ‘Tribute to Muhammad Ali’ documentary, and he also spoke as an authority in BBC 2’s 1991 “Dance Energy” James Brown special. In 2006, Fitzroy Facey co-founded the bi-monthly printed magazine “The Soul Survivors”, which is available worldwide as a download App. Aligning with his passion for music, the publication’s mission is to bridge the gap between the past, present, and future of black music and entertainment; and to raise awareness about the evolving industry. With his unique and unorthodox approach, Fitzroy ‘The Original Soul Survivor’ Facey continues to deliver informative and in-depth interviews with many of the top celebrities.

Giving it to “Right In The Socket” along side Solar Records probably like Carlsberg most successful crossover act with almost 40 years history behind them Shalamar featuring Jeffrey Daniel, Carolyn Griffey and Howard Hewitt, is yours truly on the wheels of steel. Friday 15th April 2016, like a record I danced to on Top Of The Pops back in 1982,”I Can Make You Feel Good” with some “Dead Giveaway” “Sweeter As The Day’s Go By” disco boogie from the 1970’s and 80’s. So why don’t you “Go For It” and get your tickets and come to the “Shalamar Disco Garden” for one night at The 02 Forum Kentish Town. The place will be “Full Of Fire” with Baby “Girl” Iron Princess Carolyn strutting her stuff ‘Over & Over” with her “Friends” “Pop Along Kid” Jeffrey Daniel and Howard Hewitt. This surely will be a “Night To Remember” and if it’s not “I Owe You One” as an apology..Hurray like a Murray

Last night me and the 21st Century “Italian Stallion” Mario Biondi after his consummate performance at Under The Bridge in SW6. It was well attended fro a school night..packed in fact with quite a few familiar faces in the house. I interviewed Mario about three years ago so we were just catching up after my DJ set and he is kindly endorsing the Soul Cartel’s Luxury Weekend event in Bolton 1st May..I’m “Spinnin'” like Bernard Wright for this anticipated event, so for more info gimme a “Holla” like Ja Rule. Nice venue and hotel accommodation in side the wandering home turf of Bolton Wanders’s footballing home. Hurray like a Murray !!

Pinch punch first day of the month and please no returns..and guess who I had an afternoon teh ta teh with ??? A happy Hot Chocolate music making Master At Work “Brother Louie” Vega. Louie is a big fan of the magazine and collects them avidly .. So when he’s in our LOTW. “London Town” we hook up so he can get his Soul Survivor Magazine fix. Louie’s “Starring” album is “Finally” like CC Peniston out and yours truly reviewed it 6 months ago in issue 59 for Sept-Oct 2015. He is ” Riding High” like Fazeo after his album launch @ Phonica in Soho last night where there were queues outside like a Selfridges 1st day of sales. The female JB Jocelyn Brown and Tony Momrelle both performing on his album sang live and ” I Heard It Through The Grapevine” like Marvin that Louie sold the 100 CDs he brought with him. If you want that album like Rueben Wilson you “Got To Get Your Own ” and enjoy.. Fitzroy
